Prodigy Athlete sought By Colleges

February 21, 2010 - Prodgy Athlete Malia Cravens, a Temecula Valley high School multi sport star, led the Southwestern League with 10 rebounds per game this year as a forward on the TVHS basketball team. Also a standout at Track, she set a record on the high jump at the Inland Empire Meet of Champions with a 5-foot-3-inch surge. Earlier this month she eclipsed that mark by three inches at the 2010 California Invitational in Fresno. Schools interested in her track abilities include the University of Hawaii, University of Southern California, and the University of California at Los Angeles. Six Prodigy Athletes Sign Letters of Intent to Play College Football

February 3, 2010 - Six Prodigy Athletes formally declared their intention to play for a college sports program Wednesday night. Christian “Bubba” Poueu-Luna (University of Hawaii), Anthony “Chief” Goodwin (Upper Iowa), Ben Thompson (San Jose State), Jake Lee Bass (Upper Iowa), John Hardy-Tuliau (University of Hawaii) , and Siaki Cravens (University of Hawaii) all put a consistent disciplined effort both in the classroom and the gym to afford them the opportunity to play at the college level. “When I send a coach a name, I don’t have to worry. Two Prodigy Athletes In The News

January 5, 2010 - Prodigy Athletes Bubba Luna and Ben Thompson were highlighted in Valley News and Scout.com feature stories. Luna, who boosted his GPA from 2.67 to 3.5 and won a scholarship to the University of Hawaii after joining PA, remarked in the Valley News article, "This program has been very important to me. I’ve matured a lot. I’ve learned respect for my family and teachers and how to be a role model.” The Scout.com article announced Ben Thompson’s commitment to attend San Jose State University and play football for newly hired head coach Mike MacIntyre’s Spartans. Softball standout commits to University of Hawaii

October 6, 2009 - Jasmine Zamora commits to the University of Hawaii for a full scholarship in softball. She will be holding her signing day at Prodigy Athletes. Bob Coolen, Head Coach of the University of Hawaii’s softball program said “…we offered her a scholarship and she accepted…Thank you for your recommendation and we look forward to Jaz becoming a future Rainbow Wahine!”

Tsunami Relief Efforts in Samoa

October 5, 2009 - Prodigy Athletes joins the Tsunami relief efforts in Samoa. Prodigy Athletes provides the Inland Empire's arm of the relief effort driven by the AIGA Foundation/Coalition. Local schools have joined the efforts and donated wares and money to buy goods. Amongst these local groups, the Great Oak Football Boosters have started a school wide food drive, and donated $750 for the purchase of sorely needed items.

Girls Softball Star Sought By Fighting Irish

July 16, 2009 - - Prodigy Athletes standout Alexis Mercado, considered one of the best girls softball players for her age in the country, has been contacted by at least five major colleges, including Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish have said they will offer Mercado a scholarship. Mercado, who will be a freshman at Great Oak in the fall, plays for the Victory USA travel team of Cypress, but will join Bruce Richardson's 18-and-under SoCal Athletics Gold team of Upland next.
